A New Orleans park has closed due to an outbreak of coronavirus, but a marble run is set to reopen on Thursday.
Officials say the Jellys marble run was reopened this morning, and they are planning to reopen it for the first time in four years.
The New Orleans public health department said the run will reopen on a schedule with fewer visitors.
“The run will be open in the morning and then open at night,” the department said.
“The Jellis marble run has been closed since January 26.
Its reopened in light of the current pandemic.”
Officials say some people have been returning to the Jllys marble runs for the past two weeks.
Officials are trying to determine how many people have come back and how many have come in from other areas, the city’s health department spokesman, Anthony Belmar, said.
