When Apple is finally ready to introduce its latest iPhone in the fall, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will likely be among the first phones to get the new aluminum-based device, but it’s not yet clear when that’ll happen.
While we do know that the iPhone 10 will launch in October, we don’t know when it’ll arrive on the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.
We also don’t have a date for the iPhone 9, which we’ll have to wait to see what happens with the iPhone SE, which is expected to arrive in the second half of next year.
Apple is currently testing a new version of the iPhone for testing, but the company hasn’t released the software or hardware for the new model yet.
If Apple has no plans to roll out the iPhone’s software and hardware for testing before the end of the year, it’s possible that the company will wait until 2019 to begin shipping the device.
Apple recently started rolling out a new operating system for the phone, called iOS 10, to a small group of beta testers, but many of the software features were still in a pre-release stage, and we’re still waiting to see how many of those features will make it into the final release.
Apple also plans to start rolling out more updates to iOS 11 later this year, including a new Siri feature that lets users ask questions using the voice assistant, Apple Watch bands, and new Siri apps.
